Adelina Patti was one of the most highly regarded opera singers of the 19th century. From the description of Adelina Patti letters, 1889-1891. (Louisiana State University). WorldCat record id: 269476576 Spanish-born soprano trained in New York City; by 1861 Adelina Patti was the leading operatic prima donna.
